A TRAINING SEMINAR ON "COMBATING CORRUPTION IN THE BANKING SECTOR: CHALLENGES AND PREVENTIVE MEASURES"

On December 4, a training seminar on "Combating corruption in the banking sector: challenges and preventive measures" was held at the State Unitary Enterprise ‘Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” with the participation of Mr. Saifiddinzoda N.S., a representative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan. The seminar addressed the nature, negative consequences, and prevention of corruption, as well as the role of bank employees in ensuring transparency and protecting citizens’ interests. It was emphasized that combating corruption is a priority of state policy and requires high responsibility from every employee within the framework of the “State Anti-Corruption Strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.”

At the opening of the seminar Mr. Saifiddinzoda N.S. noted that corruption is one of the negative phenomena of the modern world and a problem of international scale. It is not a new phenomenon in society, has a long history, and affects states regardless of their political systems and levels of development.

Participants concluded the seminar with a question-and-answer session and received practical recommendations.
